iPhone Surpasses Razr In Sales

The iPhone has not only become the preferred wireless Smartphone among business users but it has also just recently surpassed the Motorola RAZR as it is today's leading wireless bought by adult consumers during this third quarter in the United States. Something that has left me wondering is what is the influence that society puts in an individual in order for him to purchase an iPhone, that is if there is any influence? Something definetly worth discussing about are the iPhone sales rising tremendously because it is simply the best product out there or has society adpated a notion that one needs an iPhone in order to be able to live? If possible feel free to share your thoughts!

hey...
so I read your blog about the iphone, and i must say, society does put pressure on people to have the newest coolest gadgets. I just bought a brand new (pink*) blackberry curve- and just found out as of december telus will be offering the new blackberry storm which is touch screen, similiar to the Iphone... i was so disapointed when i hear this and even caught myself asking my boyfriend how much he thought it might cost me to upgrade! this is pathetic- i have an addiction and i need help ;)

Hey Alex,

Yea I believe most people today know what you mean. It is pretty disappointing how today we always seek the new, and when we get it, something newer comes out. Yet even though we have a recent and outstanding product in hands we seem to always have a desire for the new along with a pressure from society to consume the most recent products. Just like that the cycle of consumerism goes on and on.

Thanks for the comment
